I've thought about starting a blog for some time now, and possibly a YouTube channel. I decided to start with the blog just to get my feet wet and learn the ropes of this beauty blogger thing. I've been in love with makeup, fashion, and all things beauty related for as long as I can remember. As a little girl I would play in my Grandma's makeup and wear her clip on pearl earrings and fur hats around her house. At the age of three, I had a pair of red sparkly slippers - just like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I'm convinced that's the exact moment this love affair all began.
In 2011, I came across Alexa Prisco (the Glam Fairy)'s YouTube channel and she had posted a 3 or 4 part tutorial on how to achieve the perfect smoky eye. After watching a few of her other videos, I learned of Kandee Johnson and quickly found her channel. I watched Kandee's videos daily - I was enthralled, I'd never seen so much of what I love all in one place - and on YouTube at that! I was new to the whole concept of vlogging. And I had a lot I felt I could learn from her - she's a professional makeup artist after all! Of course this spiraled into me discovering a whole slew of beauty bloggers/vloggers on YouTube - and I was inspired. I wanted to be a part of all of it. I felt that I had finally found my niche in the world - people who were like me.
To this day, I still watch those same women - plus quite a few others! I'm constantly being inspired and learning new things. What I hope this blog becomes is a place for some other girl to be inspired. I hope to make this blog my new internet home - a place to share my views, opinions, and my life. ♥
